Formerly the Alabama Territorial Capital but now a ghost town, the Old St. Stephens Historical Park offers many outdoor activities. Visitors can view the town ruins and swim, boat, or fish in a 100-acre lake and camp overnight at either an RV site or primitive campground. A self-guided walking trail, complete with narrative signs, escorts visitors past some of the most important locations on site. The site is isolated, located about 25 miles east of the Mississippi state border, but its historic value and beauty make the site incredibly popular nonetheless.
Open year round.
Adults $2; Children (6-11) $1; Children under 6 are free.
